After the well received debut ‘Itineris I’ (2011, Twilight Records), Aura Noctis returns with an album that is a must have for lovers of bands such as Stpa, Artesia, Arcana, Ordo Equitum Solis, Elend, Ophelia’s Dream, Ordo Funebris, Trobar de Morte…
Aura Noctis’ music is a journey through emotions, representing everything that words cannot describe. Wailing winds interspersed with the forest dream, hazy endless tunnels, or the peace that only in nature can one embrace. Inspired by romanticism, Aura Noctis aims to transport us to those places where the mind has never been, arousing the fantasy that is latent within all of us. Their melodies seek to be the hope that drives away the pain.
This album deals with the fall of sadness inhabitings into a dark & solitary cave in a deeper darkness and the light of hope... illusion... although it´s a classical dualism concept in ancient poetry, a descent into the chamber of profund obscurity with a pale ray of light, this music is sad, very sad, as all beauty is sad… Orchestral music with cold, mesmerizing, dormant neo-classical melodies, two great female vocalists chanting full of prickling pain. Excellent and crisp mastering by Frederic Chaplain (Prikosnovenie)!
Aura Noctis is the project of two Spanish girls: Olga (piano, vocals, arrangements) and Pilar (cello, vocals) with the help of Zevlagh (drums, flutes), Fernando (drums) and Carmen (oboe). Most songs are in Latin keeping the sacred ritual codes….
