12012 (Ichi ni zero ichi ni) set up in 2003 and the singer Wataru Miyawaki and his comrads describe themselves as pure Visual Kei band, that plays a combination of hard Metal and typical Japanese Indie Music.
Their songs are based on hard and distorted guitar riffs. The singing of Wataru Miyawaki is rough, hard and creates a perfect combination to the guitar riffs. But 12012 are not a Visual Kei band, that can be compared with the typical clichés of the Visual Kei scene. You can see that, when you recognize that they dont have pseudonyms like many of their colleagues.
The name 12012 was an idea of guitarist Yuusuke Suga: 12012 is a secret code of the American police that is used if the policemen could come in contact with an armed criminal.
